Abstract

Compartment syndrome of the forearm is a rare consequence of radial head fractures. Following a somewhat displaced fracture of the radial head, a 10-year-old child experienced acute volar compartment syndrome of the forearm, which was unusual. The patient had forearm volar fasciotomy and open radial head fracture reduction with Krishner wire. The patient had a favourable postoperative outcome and is likely to have a satisfactory functional recovery as a result of immediate intervention.
