Abstract

Traditional dance forms like classical and folk dances are a way of learning India’s ancient culture.
These dance forms are still performed in temples and guruduwaras. Classical dance forms leave a
lasting impression on the people and they have a storytelling element as well. People find the
costumes, jewellery and make-up very fascinating. The classical and folk dance forms were primarily
originated from South India and are based on the Indian culture. These dance forms require intricate
hand gestures and classic traditional clothing with some unique make-up style. This style was very
attractive to the people around the globe.
