Abstract

Introduction: Gonadoblastomas also called as dysgenetic gonadomas are rare tumors with mixture of sex cord stromal and germ cell. The young patients report with the main complaint of primary amenorrhea. These occur in gonadal dysgenesis which are either pure or mixed form of Y chromosome type. There have been many syndromes associated with this entity. It is very rare in chromosomally and phenotypically normal women.

Case Report: We report a case of young female of 46 XY karyotype with primary amenorrhea and increased hair growth over the body. She had abdominal distension with dragging pain and this turned out be a case of left side Gonadoblastoma after radiological and pathological evaluation.

Conclusion: Gonadoblastomas are complex neoplasms of gonadal elements. These become symptomatic late in young females because of the ongoing female body type changes. Radiological evaluation and genetic analysis plays a vital role in diagnosis as well as in the management of the case.
